hey all, just needing advice as i need my pc sorting asap..

i turned my pc off one night and it was fine, next day i woke and turned it on and it would not load windows, it would ask what mode i wanted to go into and even then still didnt load (including safe mode and all that) so i had a guy look at it for me and he charged me £50 i got the computer back and my storage drive (200gb sata drive) was my /c: drive and my raid0 raptor drives are now my /d: drive... now i cant use most if not all of the programs of the raid drive at all, so i had to re-install everything onto my now /c: drive...

the guy left me a read me saying that one of the raid drives is on its last legs and that might be the problem as to why it may have done what it did.. i wasnt told which one might be defected so i dont know, my pc is running like shit and to top it off my storage drive had a virus on it that i got rid of, but it took away the boot.exe file, so now i cant double click it i have to right click and explore...

i have no idea what i am doing when it comes to shit like this, should i take the raid drives out and bin em both or just format everything... any help would be great, because at this moment in time i am stuck... (ps dont know how to even format or turn raid0 off, info on that too would be great, might google it when i wake in the morning)

time to start fresh. before do that though both wd and seagate have tools that you can run to check the integrity of the drives. go to their websites and download the diagnostic tool. if they all come back ok id still wipe everything and start fresh. also this is just my opinion but running raid on the two raptors is not worth it. you are just doubling your risk for failure and the performance gain is negligible.
