I bought a DFI LP UT 754 motherboard on hardforum, and it has a big chipset cooler, and i want to replace it, but it is stuck on there with as ceramique!!! anyone?

Ceramique is a regular paste. Heating it should let you take the cooler off.

Alumina is the epoxy...

Which was used? Epoxy or regular paste?

if its regular paste just pull it off. if its sticking then twist it a little.

if its epoxied on your probably shit out of luck. a swiftech tech support guy suggested to me freezing might help remove epoxy, but it ended up still just ripping my northbridge chip off of my new motherboard.

to remove AS epoxy i froze it then placed a credit card between the HS and chip. then find a wide but thin flathead and twist firmly making sure the flathead is between the credit card and HS.

this will also work for paste the have vacuumed itself on minus the freezing.

heat it up by running your computer for abit. Turn it off and remove the heatsink before it has time to cool.

Warm basin of boiling water works wonders as well

The above was sarcastic.
