Ok guys, I swear this is DC related. I am upgrading my family comp back home which has 128 mb RDRAM in it. I have contacted a seller in this thread who has PC800 RDRAM to sell off. ebay profile says he lives in West Virgnia. However, his post count is only 7, most of which is his thread.

Since this would possibly be my first trade and his first forum trade, both of us have no heat. Since this guy has only posted in his thread, I am afraid he could be trolling but I have no way of knowing. His ebay profile says he has been a member 3 years but only 15 references. Can anyone help me with some steps to reduce the chances of me being trolled? I know some of you live in WV and perhaps could help me if stuff went wrong.

I know I am being paranoid but this is possibly my first trade. :)

Get a phone number and call him. Work numbers carry a touch more weight to some.

Look ofer the eBay feedback, make sure it is not all in one day or something. Check the items, I'm guessing he bought computer stuff and not bra's.

Last resort, have a fellow folder in WV do a local pickup I reckon!

Thanks marty. I looked over his ebay stuff and he has been selling and buying computer items since Feb 2002. Looks ok, lets see how it goes. :)

Yeah, I get that look on occasion myself. Four years on Ebay, and only 5 references.

Between NewEgg, BB, the [H] forum and Ebay, I got a lot of farm, but not much cash before or after. ;)

Quality, not quantity. Few purchases, but all positive? I'd relax a touch, but I'd still keep tabs each step of the transaction.

If he fails to come through for you..... let me know... I'll go kick his ass :D

Keep on Folding!!

ok, I will be entering an ebay auction, but if I win there is no way I can test the RDRAM before I go back home in 5-6 weeks.

If there is an established folder who has a RDRAM system, would they please test the ram and ship it to me. This needs to be done within the week as the DOA guarentee is that long. I will pay for shipping so no cost to you.

Please PM me for details.
