Case: There are more than enough drive bays on the Coolermaster for any gamer, and both are solid cases. If you want a window and more expandability go with Lian-Li but if windows don't matter and you don't have tons of hd's to put in, go with the coolermaster. Since you're a first time builder you'd probably want the window to show off the work you've done. Both of these companies are reputable and make quality cases.

Video Card: This one I would have to definately side with the ATI X800XL. I would never buy a third party video card. I have never, up to this point heard about connect3D. But the performance increase inbetween the X800XL and the X850XT is minimal for the extra amount you would have to pay, in my opinion. You won't really notice the difference inbetween both cards in games.

Power Supply: I'm a fan of Antec so this is probably a bit biased but from what I've found and heard Antec power supplies are very durable and you get a 3 year warranty on them. Both companies are reputable so it just really depends if you wanna spend the extra 4 bucks for the Antec.

Processor: Well if you were to get the 3800+ you would be paying 100 dollars extra for a mere 0.2 GHz increase. This really does not seem worth it. I would go with the 3500+ it's still powerful. And if you really want the extra 0.2...overclock it.

Hopefully this will help you on your decision. I have still left it up to you to decide what you want but this clearly illustrates the choices in black and white.
