After carefully counting the boxen <sober this time ;) > I have concluded that one of you jokers had added a few boxen to the relic username.

This is not the first time some sneaky bastich has messed with the old Bards head, but I had to spend an evening without my favorite scotch so that I could count without using my fingers. ;)

Now if it were just 1 or 2 CPUs I'd suspect an error at Stanford's stats server, but new ones keep showing up and the extra CPU's now stand at 8!. Not that I mind, it's pretty funny and the WUs are going to the team. But the fact that one of you smartasses would take the time,effort and electricity to do this, just to screw with this old DCer is a testement to your sick sense of humor....I'm impressed. :) To tell you the truth, with the extra CPU count being that high it's likely that a group of you [H]ardnutjobs is in on this. That you could pull it off without anyone slipping is quite a feat. I'll find ya...probably buy you a beer...and we'll all have a good laugh.

Personally, I suspect BillR is the ringleader, as he is the sneaky type.
 
I bet it was 1.5 or two years ago, when someone was randomly switching a large number of CPUs around on the team, sometimes to a user with only 1 box...gauntlets on the forum really became funny.

I have to admit, it was quite a lot of fun to watch. I also suspect that there were a few 'copy cats' who got in on the act after a while.

Since many of the 'old timers' aren't really all that concerned with the individual stats, it wasn't too hard to narrow down the field of suspects, but we never did find out the actual culprits. (which makes it even better IMHO).
 
that would've been something to see. I usually don't even think to check active cpus, etc. It would be a little interesting if some new folder was just checking their stats and saw these gigantic point increases.
 
Well relic, you are the bard, you have to expect that some of us will become attached to you and then start to emulate you, and eventually we'll slip into semi-conciousness where we think we really are you. Most likely someone is infatuated with your fame and god-like authority over the board and they think they've become you. Or maybe they're just trying to impress Jodi Foster or something. Either way......

I suspect it's the Moose. :eek:

Now there is a whole new take on conspiracy theories. Relic in real life is Jodi Foster. Or, perhaps it’s the other way around. Stuff that makes you go Hummmmmmmmm. ;)

I have a total of 25 CPUs folding and you bozo's have changed that to 34 in the last 7 days.

It's all for the team...no poblem there...but go pick on somebody with 1 or 2 boxen. :)

Should I challenge you to a gauntlet and see if my production goes up?
 
I know what it is.
All the CPU's he's been sending out are all programed to fold under the name Relic. :p
It does not matter what you put in when you config F@H they still fold under Relic's name.
If you add the number of CPU's he has sent out to the number in his farm it works out about right.........
11 Cpu's sent out + 25 in the farm = 37 in total.
And you have 35 folding for you.
So either two did not take or somebody still has not theirs.
I hope you got permission to borg them before you sent them out.

well if you change things in the config, or reinstall, I know it takes a couple days for the "activeness" of the CPU to cycle through stanfords servers....maby its that?
