Im upgrading to Logitech Z-5300 from the Creative Inspire 6.1's

Do the z-5300's perform in 5.1 descrete channels?

Will it utilize the Dolby Digital Surround EX that my Audigy 2 has?

Does it use SPDIF?

Yes - Through analog connections.

Will it utilize the Dolby Digital Surround EX that my Audigy 2 has?
Your Audigy will decode the DD5.1EX, then pass the analog signal to the speakers.

Does it use SPDIF?
No. They are not digital speakers, so your Audigy will do all the work then send the decoded signal to each channel.
