Its Sunday morning and i'm bored so here are some random stats and facts about the current state of the almighty [H]orde.:D

We currently have 14 members in the top 100 PPD average worldwide, highest place being Dropper at number 5
We have 8 folders in the top 100 PPD total, tied with Max PC and overclockers.com
We are now comfortably outfolding Default
Our top 20 is the [H]ardest to get into by far - currently 180.5k PPD
We have folded nearly 13.8 million Work units
The team is still geared towards the average folder with 72% of active folders earning less than 6k PPD
Believe it or not we don't have the highest avg PPD per active folder, that honour goes to overclockers.com
The gap between EVGA and our PPD is inxeorably closing - last time it was mentioned it was 4m PPD, its now 2.7m PPD
On 2 individual updates in the last 24 hours we have beaten EVGA in points

Even more important than this collection of numbers, fold on!!!!:cool:

Just have to keep pushing! I will be upgrading some time this year. Hopefully to something that puts out 50K+ PPD.

I just ramped my production from the 15-20kppd mark to the 50-55k ppd mark and I'm in the market for more GPUs for my boxen.

Nice, have you consider a cheapish dually setup, Tobit's asus Z8NA that he has for sale would make the basis of a great folding rig, get a couple of cheap xeons to start and upgrade as you have funds. I would have jumped on it but pennies are tight

I recommend more sandy than gpus... or some g34 madness if you can afford...

I have considered it, but just the same pennies are tight over here as well. I probably will upgrade after june. This will allow me to see what bulldozer offers and should drop prices on some older hardware.

I was surprised dual 1366 boards go for $250 new at newegg. Even dual C32 boards are $450+ except one asus board and dual G34 are also $450+.

I wish I could afford a few more Sandy boxes, but for at least the initial purchase 3x GTX460's at $100 each, I'll spend half per ppd compared to just board/2600k/ram. The GTXs will go in boxen that I already have running on the network anyway, and dropping a pair in each will still let me use them for my intended servering purposes.

I do have my name in the hat for the 2600k package giveway though :).

That is good for a chuckle :D

I need to make a gif about the burn in...

yeah we are just doing burn ins....

big [H] red hot brand falls on evga symbol and burns through it...

yup just standard burnin....

for a hard folder he should check out my free cpu sheet... picked up an i7 850 that might help you out.... not much for big adv... but would feed a gpu farm....

Yea... more memory channels on the G34 boards + HT 3 = more PCB layers. I talked to a few manufacturers and they say all that tech is great for bandwidth, bad for manufacturing/ design costs especially when you are doing smaller batch runs than with the LGA 1366 boards.

And I'm staring at four SB CPUs (two no-HT enabled though), four SB motherboards, and more than eight sticks of DRAM. Need to get motivated one of these weekends to aim for the 1M ppd club or to sell off some stuff.

Where did the link to that sheet run off to? I can't seem to find it.

Bandwidth is great, but I havent heard anyone in the 1366 club complain about bandwidth. So does all that extra bandwidth on the AMD boards get put to good use? Dual C32 kind of got my attention with the CPU prices (2.6ghz quad for $110 new), but the boards are outrageous. Might as well save and do dual G34 since most of the dual C32 boards are the same price (except for one ASUS one).

Pretty much its boiling down to Intel used or AMD new since for my price range I cant afford Intel new, and most of the used AMD stuff is the epic 12 core stuff that is way out of my price range.

That 1366 board is making me want to do a cheap dual build.

I usually only upgrade every two years, and my budget is usually around $1000 (for everything). I am weighing my options before I buy since I may be stuck with it for two to three years, and I want to get the best bang for the buck I can.

Hopefully you get that stuff online! I would offer to help, but the distance is probably too far!

I'll take a look, but I'm set on CPU/mobos for now. I have my Q6600 board, an Asus P5K-E, that has room for a pair of graphics cards. I've currently got a lonely 8600GTS in it that EUEs, so its really only running SMP WU's right now. I've also got an MSI K8N Neo4-F (this one has a 460GTX) that I _might_ be able to squash another card into the 4x slot, though, its not at a very convinient position on the board.

I'll take a look at your sheet anyway as I can probably cram another box into my rack for the right price...

Yea I have two C32 hexa cores sitting in a box (~1.7ghz)... been thinking about picking up an open box ASUS dual board but motivation for even what is on hand and ready-to-go is lacking.
