Hey guys i'd like to know if the Black Ice GT Stealth 360 Radiator - Red alone

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/5068/ex-rad-92/Black_Ice_GT_Stealth_360_Radiator_-_Red.html

is able to cool down my 5970 and i7 920 with no OC .

My watercooling setup is D5 with Top, EK 150 Res , EK 5970 block , HEATKILLER® CPU Rev3.0 , 1/2 ID 3/4 OD primochill tubes, Gentle typhoon fans, will be using distilled water with kill coil

My dilemma as of now is that i am about to buy the corsair 800d , i can mount the GTS 360 at the top no problem but i also have the black ice GTS 240 Rad - Red too , but its a shame i can only mount the 240 internally only if i do some cutting and modding which im not so keen on.

The last case scenario i would do is to mount them externally.

But the real question is if the Black ice gts 360 alone is able to cool my 5970 and i7 920 to a reasonable "watercooling level" , else would both the black ice gts 360 and black ice gts 240 both be able to cool them down well ? I will do some OC if temperature allows.

Yes it will. That radiator will be fine for both those things. You could probably stick even more on it and still get acceptable cooling.

I was actually wondering this as well, I have this rad with a i930 and 2 480gtx, my water blocks just arrived will this rad be enough to cool both video cards and my CPU or should I throw another rad in the mix. I have a single 120mm rad I can add to the mix to help out

do you think that the temperature on the i7 920 and 5970 with the black ice gts 360 alone will be alot better compared to my current air cooling setup, i do alot of gaming myself and ill most probably do some heavy OC on the 5970 itself ? im actually using the thermalright venomous x and silverstone rv02 case, it's really noisy , hence my reason of going to water cooling.

Among the EK CoolStream RAD-XT 360 ,HWLabs Black Ice GTX 360 , HWLabs Black Ice SR-1 360 ,Swiftech MCR320-QP. Which one would suit me the best ? I'll be using only 3 Gentle typhoons on either pull configuration with a fan controller to tune the noise down abit , i'm aiming for the least noise yet highest performance available, which would you guys suggest ?

I'm sure either would beat the Black Ice GT Stealth 360 Radiator hands down : P

I chose 2 Swiftech MCR320 (2x$47) vs 1 larger $100+ rad with my build. (Not that I have bought it yet.) Seems these things do a good job for their price.

I almost went with the Feser 360 for $100 but needed a slimmer rad to fit a push/pull config at the top of the 800D. I kinda like the idea of 2 loops to. 1 CPU/chipset (Though chipset comes later.) and the other for crossfired 5870s.

EK CoolStream RAD-XT 360 ,HWLabs Black Ice GTX 360 , HWLabs Black Ice SR-1 360 ,Swiftech MCR320-QP. Among these which would perform the best with silent operation ? Will be using 3 Gentle typhoon and fan controller to tune the RPM down a little bit.

You want to cool one Ci7-920 and one 5970 neither are overclocked, right?

For the money, buy the Swiftech, mount three 120 fans pushing air, mount it in the top of your 800D and call it a day.....That is plenty radiator for that configuration.:D

hey magoo, yes i';; be cooling one i7 920 and one 5970, i will most probably not OC the 920 but i will be OCing the 5970. The main priority is to have the best 360 rad for noise vs performance ratio .

i have used the bi 360 gtx (bad ass rad if you have some loud fans!)
thermochill pa 120.3. had it in my corsair 800d. ok idle temps, great load temps
mcr 220. first time using swiftech rads. believe or not i had better temps on this double rad than on my thermochill. i did have a push pull config too. i7 920 @ 4.0 ghz 1.19 V.

From now on i will be using swiftech rads in push pull config. the prices are unbeatable.

if you dont mind loud fans. get the black ice 360 gtx. it rocks!
