some questions about writing and processing surveys in HTML

Okay, so I know roughly how to design a survey for HTML... but I'm clueless when it comes to the part from when they hit submit to my statistical analysis of it (using SAS). I know there is a .asp file somewhere in there, and all that, but I don't know how to write it or what I can do with it. Could someone fill me in on this, or at least point me to a good resource about it?
