some qestions on 2900XT

hey, Everyone

My friend gave me 2900XT and this was 2900pro but he put a 2900XT bios on there

fan @ 44% 53 idel temps 71 when playing games

the voltage goes to 1.10 i belive the stock is 1.15v

My qestions are

i know i can edit the bios that he put on here. can i just edit the bios and change the voltage on there and not have a problem?

i dont mind having the fan @ 100% as long as i can get a some what good o/c on the card. its just going to tie me over for a few months so i can save some cash and get XFX 4870 1gb or XFX 4890 1gb

why not just overclock via software and leave the bios as it is? You should be able to specify fan speed in software also.
 
don't dick around with the bios, just use software.

and really the 2900xt isn't that great no matter what you do, I wouldn't mess with it myself.

just use it as is till you upgrade, if you mess it up you are screwed.
 
because the voltage i belive is suppose to be 1.15v and its set at 1.10v and i cant o/c for sh!t and i like o/cing :D
