I have a Viewsonic E70F+ and I just recently noticed these weird gridlines that appear seamingly at random all over the screen, they were always there, (but i was still getting over the shock of having a computer that can play modern games, just came from a tnt2 with a 15" crt that would display white as three different colours), they are always their, if i scroll, they stay in the same place on the screen. The lines are all vertical and they are only a slight discoloration of the image that is there. If i mess with the moire pattern setting, the lines start to vibrate.

When I raise the refresh rate to 70Hz +, the image starts to shake.

I also have a slight convergence issue.

Should this all be covered under the viewsonic insurance or is there a quickfix to it?

Degauss did nothing and I don't have any speakers beside it.
