Ok so is it just me or do your "wingmen" in this game ALWAYS get in your way!?!

I HATE them, all the time whenever I take a turn they're always in font of me and they take the turn a LOT slower than you forcing you to slam into the back of them or turn into a wall.

then you have to listen to their retarded comments about how slow you are or how there's somebody coming up on your left/right...

JUST GET OUT OF THE WAY AND LET ME RACE!!

/rant

am I alone here?

I'm usually faster than my wingmen, so it's not a problem. The only time it's come up is if I've got Yumi as the active, but then she's supposed to be in front of me.

It's only a problem in the corners, when they do get ahead of you or even if they're supposed to be.

They still take corners too slow...

the wingman is completely useless, i beat the game without ever needing them once! And could kill them for slamming the brakes on me.

I used the blocker a fair bit for fun... But i was always way out ahead of all the wingmen.

Maybe you just not fast enough :p

Exactly my frusterations! :p

I just bought the Lamborghini Murcielago and it's fast, I'm pwning the track now :D

I played it at a friends place and was annoyed to hell and back by the damned text that takes up half the screen RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR DRIVING VIEW saying what area you're in and who controls it. Who gives a shit, the letters don't have to be that big and distracting, make them smaller, move them to the top, and add transparency to them....or give the option to shut them off.

Other than that...the game was kinda fun. I think I liked Most wanted better though.

If you use the racers you can trail behind in their airflow that speed you up, you can get far faster speeds which help you win the races, I almost exclusivly used these types of team mates, you go especially fast if you boost while trailing them.

Is there anyway to know which one of the questionmarks is the Pink Slip, cause i always have to racing the same boss 3 or 4 times to get the damn pink slip.
I dont care if its a cheat, i really want to know if there is a mod or something that lets you know which one of the questionmarks is the Pink Slip.

I beat the game with Kenji's RX-7 with all performance mods, i won the pink slip to his car, at the end of the game i had about 900k in the bank and bought the Merc SLR and tossed all the mods on that, it quite fast now hitting 210mph :)

Another thing I do not like about this game is how they put cars into different tiers.

I don't necessarily disagree with this whole concept, just parts of it.

For example: I started out with the '68 Camaro SS, once I got done conquering the muscle territory, the next was the tuner territory. I beat that with the camaro too, but the next territory forced me to upgrade. I picked the dodge charger. The thing I didn't like about it was by the time I picked the charger, it was stock. My camaro was all beefed up with a roots blower as well as a pro engine and all the other mods. The charger was stock...... I don't believe a stock charger is considered faster than a blown camaro. If it is dip me in axle grease and call me slick!

Bah, I didn't like Tier 2. I used the Camaro all the way up to the last section, then tried the SRT-8... I actually managed to do WORSE than with the Camaro. But I did win one race, which unlocked Tier 3, so I sold the SRT-8, bought a Viper and didn't look back.

The blockers are actually useful. Samson was awesome and saved my bum a few times. I believe I used the drafter chick once to get the >3xx kph radar trap reward card.

come on, we all know that NFS:{U,U2,MW,C} are as much of a "simulation" as Half-Life. I tip my hat to anyone who manages to drive the muscle cars. I, for one, despise their handling and cringe every time I hate to drive one in the game.

Their handing is something you have to overcome by tuning the suspension and running high quality tires that grip. I liked them because they were smokin' fast and left all the little tuners in the dust, even the exotics too.

You basically powerslide a lot more in muscle cars than you do in tuners because the handling isn't as good but the power is double so you can throw the back end out round corners. It's twice as fun driving them :D

My charger made mincemeat out of the exotics, it was only when I went up against Porsche Carerra GT's and Lamborghini's that I needed to switch to a more practical car.

I'm also attached to them because I drive a muscle/classic car in real life :) So they were obviously the first thing I went for in the game.

^^ Agreed.

You HAVE to tune the muscle cars when you race with them to counter-act a bit of their behaviour. Use the grip tires, and, push it a bit towards "understeer", since "neutral" really isn't. Then (personally) I tuned it more towards acceleration for blasting out of those corners and being able to pass on the canyon runs. And there's no other class I'd use for drifting.

I myself got a 300,000 point drift in my charger :D

Man I must play too much drift. Highest I got so far is 1.5 million points in a drift with the 300 SRT-8.

By far the fastest car in the game is the Viper SRT-10. Pimp out the performance and tune the engine, trans, and supercharger to horsepower/high rpm (respectively) and I consistantly hit 247mph. That car smokes every car in the game, no joke.
