Even though I have been in the scene for a LONG time, I am kind of embaressed to ask, but here it goes:

1 - What is the "Fill Rate"?

2 - What is CPU limited (I mean when are CPU limited?)

Thanks!

they are self explanitory...

Cpu bottleneck= cpu sucks so much it cant keep up with gpu....this leads to less performance than a cpu that can handle the gpu...

GPU=the video card

Fill rate= number of pixels that can be filled per second.....this effects FPS=frames per second(draw rate)
Lets say a normal resolution is 1024 by 768. This resolution holds an estimated 3,145,728 pixels per frame.... So fill rate is how long the card takes to fill in each drawing of a picture(frame)....the higher the fillrate, the faster the image is drawn. The faster the image is drawn, the less time it takes to start the next image (frame) = more drawings made per second(or whatever)....

np..... although you coulda just googled it, and spared urself the risk of people calling u a noob/ embarrassing(sp? lol) urself....
