Hi guys, just a quick question regarding buying some LEDS and installing them.

I want to buy THESE

Now, how shold a person go about getting resistors. The site offers resistors for real cheap, so should I get 100 resistors, or is there an easier way to about it?

I have a spare plastic sheet that Im going to mount them all to, I also have a 12 volt power source (old 286 PSU), Im just not sure how to install them.

Any help in wiring is appreciated!!!!

Those run on 3.5VDC. Hook 4 of them together end to end, and your 2 ends are where your +12VDC and ground go.

Like this:

(pos)+-- LED--LED--LED--LED-- -(neg)

Thanks,

but I plan on having 50 installed on a "track" . Are there any transformers or adapters out there that do all this stuff automatically? Limit the current so there is no burning out?

Anyhow, my plan is for 50, shouldnt be hard to throw together, I just dont want to destroy the LEDS by tossing them too much current! Or have any fire hazards, etc!

I WISH I woulda paid attention in Physics and MAth in High School :(

Just do em like this:

Not a resistor in site. Hardly any wiring need either.

ok, I think I get ya, looks nifty. So you have each little "series of 4" and do you connect those series together end to end? Or do you connect each "set" to the +/- on the PSU, and so forth and so on.

thanks for the help! I may go with the green supers though, i just realised these UV ones are only 300 MCD :s
