some help with adding a fan to the case window...

Ya the hole saw leave you with a better hole but it can crack the window EZ.

put the window between 2 peices of ply wood and use a hole saw this way less chane of breaking acrylic. just make shure it is sandwiched between the plywood tightly use clamps

alright and i should most likely put the fan so it will blow on my vid card or processor? i have an xp-90 with a panaflo over my processor and a exhaust valve under my vid cards also......

yea i think its a swet case too....
 
cutting plexi is kinda scary to me, lots of patience, if you rush it youve just wasted your hole panel...
Where to put it...hmm looks like your intake is going right over the hdd so if you put in on vid card thatll kill that dead spot because you got one right behind the cpu...but you got an exhaust under card too...hmm just put 2 80's one on each :D
 
make sure you have high rpm's (1000-2000rpms would be my best guess as to what i was running at)...and go slow...if not and if its to slow i think you will splinter and cause the plexi glass to crack

someone back me up on that, i dont want the kid going off alone with my advice

i cut some quarter inch with a bandsaw...it was running fast and i went slow...no problems what so ever
 
if you're going too fast, it'll melt. I've cut a hole for a friend and it turned out horrible. we didn't care though cause there was a fan grille going over it. A dremel will just melt it.
 
alright well i think im gonna try the dremil aproach and if it come out a lil rough i just sand it down with the sanding dremel head.... ill go slow and use a high rpm and take my time.... anyhting else?
 
i would use a whole saw...thats all i gotta say...the dremel is not gonna work well...and i think the minimum rpm's on that is 5000
