Some Driver questions

Morning everyone

I finished putting together my new computer last night, its my second attempt at a build. I installed Windows XP Pro and started on Drivers and updates. Driver order of installation is important, correct? I beleive I worked in the wrong order. After installing EVGA Drisplay Drivers for my x1800xt, I cant get back into windows. Should I download all drivers, as opposed to getting them off of CD. Is there any surefire way to find the newest correct drivers?

Is there anything wrong with just reformatting again right now? Im kind of off to a shaky start, might as well give it another go before I get too deep.

This is what im working with.
AMD 3700
Sapphire x1800xt
G.Skill 2GB RAM
74G Raptor
320G Barracuda

When I installed Windows I just put it to the Raptor, I dont need to partition anything in order two use both drives do I?

The order that seems to work for me is:
1ownload newest drivers from websites, burn to cd or put on a drive/partition I'm not installing win to..
2:Install windows
3:Install mobo drivers
4:Install nic drivers if win has not already done it..
5:Update windows..
6:Install sound drivers
7:Install video drivers
8:Test install with 3dmark,Aquamark,HDtach, and sandra to make sure my numbers are where they should be for the system..
9:Install apps
10: make a ghost or drive image backup..

Your mileage may vary, but that is the way I have always done win98 and Xp..
