Good evening all,

I am thinking of modding my case. I want to paint it green, a real nice green candy green, and polish it up really smooth. I am going to have a window in it, but I don't know what to light the window with (color of cathode).

I am thinking white and tinting the window. Right now its beige, with a single cathode lighting the front grill (Antec 1040II). The window isn't a plain window, its a design (keep under wraps right now). The design isn't that big, but looks nice. I am trying to get a color to match the green.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Cheers,

Purple usually looks good on green, and regardless what your friends may say, purple is not a gay color. It gives it a nice contrast.... blue won't match the green that well, and blue is overused anyway. Red, well, red is pink, and pink IS gay. White, eh, plain. Yellow is an idea, if you don't want the purple. Green on green would work, but the color mashing might not look good overall. I would say purple, maybe yellow.

I personally think white ccfls are awesome, WHEN used correctly. If you tint the window and use white, that would look great. You will however need another ccfl (smaller one?) to contrast the white. I'd suggest either yellow or orange.

I'll go with the family here.

White, green, yellow lighting accents would be great. Purple would complement great, but your case will look like a Easter mod. (IMHO)

Or, UV lighting with yellow reactive stuff.

Methinks too that blue is SO MUCH DAMN EVERYWHERE... :D

well blue is a very nice color, i mean, when i put my new case together a couple months ago I went with blue fans, and a blue/red fan controller, and it totally looks sweet.
