I've got a couple of questions about acrylic.

#1. Can it be cut with a Dremel w/o cracking it?

#2. Does putting some over a motherboard cause heat problems? (I'm thinking about 2" above the motherboard)

a dremel will sooner melt acrylic than crack it. Personally I cut my acrylic with a jigsaw, no problems.

The smell of cutting (melting) acrylic with a dremel will make you never want to do it again. The acrylic mounds together in little humps that will just beak off (that's a good thing). Then sand the edges with some 400 grit and it looks pro.

I use a circular saw attatchment for my dremel to cut plexi. With some practice it KILLS using a cutoff wheel.
