I know alot of ppl with sli/cfx setups have temp variations in the top and bottom card. The top card is usually warmer than the bottom my a decent sized margin. I have only seen this issue with open shroud coolers on gpus, I have had blower style coolers before on other gpus and this wasn't an issue.
What I'm wondinering is: Is ther anyone out there that would have any suggestions on a mod and/or fabrication that I could do to prevent the 2nd cards hot air from flowing up to the 1st card?
There is more spacing between the cards than some setups I have seen. There is one pci slot between the cards. I have a Phantom 820 chassis. (In case this may be relevant.)
I have been tossing around the idea of fabricating something to go between the 2 cards that will redeuce the hot air a bit. Because it rises straight from the bottom card to the top and my temps vary by about 10-12 *C. I would be interested to see any ideas you all may have.
Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this. I wasn't sure if I should put it in videos cards or the case modding section.
PS: I am away from home atm, if you would like me to post a pic or 2 of my setup I'll be glad too.
Thanks in advance.
