In my CAD class at school, Solidworks has been down for quite some time now. The "I.T." guy was supposed to have it running last month...

A box appeared a month prior to this error message saying, "You have x amount of days within the license period" or something like that. We just hit ok and continued on.

So now when you open solidworks, a box appears...

"(-15, some #, 10011) Could not obtain license from server"

There are about 15 machines with this program; they all don't work. The program runs on a server.

What could we do to go about fixing this problem?

I have searched this error online and it said something about the DNX suffix? Does this sound like a possible lead to the solution?

Thanks. ;)

Chances are it's something that has to be handled in the IT dept on their end. Sounds like it's connecting to a license manager server and they need to update the license on the server. It's probably working off a volume license and unless they add a client license, you're probably SOL. I'm not certain about SolidWorks, but we have a similar set up at my work.
