So I've had monitor reviews and threads up my arse for the past week trying to decide on what type of LCD would best suit my needs. I see many mentions of the Dell line of monitors (2001fp, 2xxxfp, etc.) and have read some reviews on other monitors, with a special note of the Viewsonic VX715 (17"). Anyway, I am not a gamer but I AM into Photoshop and graphics media, but most of the reviews I have seen focus alot on the response times of the monitors and gaming ghosts.

Can anyone out there recommend a rock solid LCD panel monitor that will give me some rock solid image quality? I am looking for superior brightness/contrast with a good uniform backlight.

Thanks in advance guys!

I forgot to add.

I'm looking for a mid-range monitor around $250-$600. 17" and up are acceptable, but I would love to have a sleek 19".

If you have any places with some good reviews of recent monitors or a suggestion on what to look for it would be much appreciated! :)
