I have a Samsung 2TB 980 Pro NVME SSD for sale. It comes in the original box. As you can see in the picture some of the writing was wiped off. I tried to clean off a bit of residue from a thermal pad and it took some of the writing with it. It does not effect the drive at all. It works perfectly. It has %100 health with 12TB written.
