Software to protect young kids online? You know, porn blockers and the like.

It's been a few years since I've been in the loop with a lot of this type of stuff and was wondering if any of you could help me.

I'm looking for some software that will kind of kid proof the internet a bit (well, as much as possible anyhow) for an 11 year old.

She's real good at being careful, but every now and then she'll mistype something and wonder of course.

This being said, she is now allowed to spend time online unsupervised, but, even with someone watching things still happen now and then.

I know there has got to be software that will block children from wondering off course.

But, is it possible without just creating a "good list" and blocking everthing else?

there's something built into IE to do this, but i can't exactly recall how to get to it.

What worked for me is Smoothwall + DansGuardian - works pretty well with minimal tweaking
