Software to Increase Connection Speed on DSL

is there...scratch that...is it possible to increase connection speed on my DSL with some sort of software, software that works to the point where I can see a connection speed increase when I test it, not faster page loading, cache modding etc but actually more Mbps :confused: if so can I get a link for it although I seriously doubt it :D
 
You can hack cable modems to do something similar but discussing that is a no no, and it really pisses isps off. (Raiding your house with automatic weapons pissed off) And yes that was in the news.
 
It's called uncapping, and like above poster said, it is incredibly frowned upon and could get you in a whole mess of trouble, like near federal level kind of legal threats, fines, and prison time. Deal with the speeds or get a faster connection the non-illegal way. :p
 
Wait, isn't uncapping only for cable? I have never heard of getting more out of DSL like you can by uncapping cable.
