Software to backup and restore the data on a partition

Is there any freeware that can work like norton ghost? I got two partitions on my harddrive, I want to backup the partition with Windows XP on it to my other partition so that I can restore it if needed. What program can do this? I also wonder if it is possible to restore it even if I change partition size or hard drive etc. Thanks.
