is there a software program or technique that I can use to take multiple images and drag/drop them into a stacked format?

i.e. - take 8 photos that were taken at 7MP

drag / drop them to automatically resize and stack to a format that looks like:

1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8

on a single sheet ?

i guess they'd kinda be like thumbnails but ideally, they'd be much larger than thumbnails - i.e. 600x480 or 800x600 etc.
I don't need them to be on any specific size paper as most of these photos would be sent electronically as opposed to printed
normally, i just batch resize the whole set and then manually paste them each to a large MSPaint canvas.
It would be nice to have a program automatically do that - perhaps w/ thin borders between each photo as well.

any ideas?

in Photoshop:

File > Automate > Contact Sheet II

edit the options to suit your needs and you're done.

If you don;t have Photoshop I have no clue. Maybe someone else ahs an idea if that's the case.
