"Software manager" [virus]

I have this "software manager" that pops up every so often.
It says installshield on it and i have no idea how to uninstall it. It seems to be an advertising virus, and i think probably something else to it. I can't find it in task manager processes or control panel.

And i don't feel safe having to install something to uninstall something. Seems like a lure to download a virus instead of an uninstaller.
 
malwarebytes anti-malware scanner, download, install and run.

check your control panel for the item and uninstall.

did you install anything new lately?

yes. Thank you.

It turns out that either nuance paperport or pdf reader kept causing the message to come up and I have now removed both.

Bingo, though that screen shot looked familiar , I have a brother printer and Same thing..
