As title.
What software do you use to test the stability of your OC?

I find that Prime95 makes my system crash very often.
Do you use Prime95 to test your OC?

Crysis 3, Far cry 3, Batman Arkham Origins.. if you can play those games for more than 3 hours without crash you are fine.. =D. prime95 its crap since Ivy bridge and untrusted, Aida64 Only FPU test take ages to find any issue, I could say IBT o Lynx with latest linpack but that its more like a Cooler test than Stability test... probably Aida64 FPU+CPU+Cache would be the best bet for the synthetic side, if not, then just heavy gaming..

For Haswell cores, IBT/LinX/P95 are difficult to get stable without a lot of extra voltage, for no particular benefit besides saying "I did it". I use XTU, Aida64 FPU/CPU/Cache and a custom AVX x264 encoding loop and have never had an issue with my overclocks being unstable in any program or game I play. The older go-to programs just make a lot of extra heat, like Araxie said it is more of a cooling system test than a realistic stability test.

Is there a reason why considering Prim95 untrusted?
It works flawlessy on stock clock, this means that it is the best tool to detect instability while overclocking, am I wrong?

No.
I use Hyper-Pi 32m (2 runs)
and
3 short bursts of IBT
XTU..

There have been instances of AVX Prime95 killing Haswell chips.

Sometimes the 1st 5 minutes of Crysis:Warhead.
If you can make it past the "flashback" and to the "corner"...it's stable.

Still don't understand why not using Prime95 since its the only software that detects instability with few seconds.

No, it isn't. People can run P95 for 24 hours straight and still crash during BF4 for example. There is no be-all end-all stress testing utility, users need to figure out themselves what they consider acceptable, which programs and for what duration make them comfortable with the overclock.
