I happen to have a jpeg file with a blurred photo shot. Are there any good programs that can somehow minimize the blurriness?

Thks

Gimp is great software, but to be honest, fixing burriness is kinda a lost cause reguardless of the software used.

Indeed. If the correct digital information isn't present in the file, it isn't going to be added later. A better example of what I mean is, if you download a crappy quality mp3, you aren't going to be able to make it much better.

No real way of salvaging, unless it's really big and you can reduce the image size. This makes the blurriness less apparent if it's minor. If it's a lot of blur though, well, call it artistic and move on, because nothing's going to save that.

If you have access to Adobe Photoshop you could try the sharpen mask, however, while this reduces the blurriness it also reduces the image quality, so as others have said if it is more than minor blurriness it's pretty much a lost cause. Learn to take better pictures and you won't have this problem.

Can't create data from nothing. The better picture quality isn't there technicaly, but possibly some filter layers in PS could help you out.
