software for dvd making?

i am looking for a program to make memories dvds. basicly the one i watched is a dvd format with a picture slide show and music and selectable chapters. would powerpoint work? or any other easy programs?

Windows Movie Maker is already on your computer if you have SP2. It isn't the best, but it's free and you (likely) already have it. Plus it's pretty easy to use, except you only get one audio track if I remember correctly.

I like nero very easy to use can make all your title screens and chapters. Can even make them animated and stuff very fun program

I dont belive Windows Movie Maker will burn to DVD. Just .WMV and AVI. Vista has Windows DVD maker that would do what you want but it might make more sense for you to get Nero 7 Ultra.

window movie maker will save and burn to dvd. i will give nero a try to. thanks

The easiest one I found and use is SONIC MyDVD Studio.
