Are there any softmods for 9800pro to xt? Last time I looked at riva turner I only saw it for the 9600?

If so anyone who has treid it deos it turn on the temp monitoring?

Only if you have an R360 core... you get the minor optimisations.

Also the only way to get the temp monitor is to flah it?

the only reason I don't want to flash it yet is because it will need better cooling and I don't want to be stuck without a system if I screw it up

Not sure if riva tuner would, but most people that I see doing this are flashing their bios for the card. It's not really a softmod. That term has been floating around loosly lately.

As with any and all overclocking, I'd upgrade cooling.

For some of the 256 bit 9800 se's, you can use Rivatuner to unlock all 8 pipelines. That's the only real softmod beyond over clocking it can do.

Thanks Furie27 thats what I wanted to know, Not to sound mean but I konw the dfference between a softmod a Bios Flash and changing resisters or signal paths on the card. I was asking if the are actual softmods for 9800pro to xt since I haden't seen any but I saw 9600 to xp in riva turner once.

I'm not going to touch the card till I can replace it, I was just wondering if tricking the drivers into seeing the card as an xt would enable the optimizations.
