I'm in need of a new heatsink for my socket a T-Bird and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of one that uses heatpipes, that is if one is even being made.

I wouldn't say that heatpipes suck... they're very useful...

As far sa the orignal poster: Why are you so interested in a sink that utilizes heat pipes? And what about the socket A sink do you want? One with clips? The Thermalright SP-97 has heatpipes and is compatible with socket A, but you will need to remove your motherboard to use it, and it will require a motherboard with mounting holes. Cheers.
 
Heatpipes on Shuttle are good cos heatpipes transfer the heat to 2nd heatsink which is located outside the case. (Or Zalman H80C, heatsink for video card, heatpipe transfer the heat from front heatsink to rear heatsink)

But Thermalright SP97 is actually worse than other Thermalright SLK900(i think thats wat its called). Cos SP97 heatpipe doesn't do shxt, wats the point for havin heatpipes transfer the heat on same heatsink?? I can't see any advantage, just cost more, marketing?
