Hi-

I've got an abit at7 max2 laying about thats totally complete minus a cpu. can anyone reccommend a cpu that OC's generally well? The last time I was paying attention, the mobile cpus were best, but I'm not sure anymore. Do they still provide a good OC, or should I just buy at the 'price point' and give it a shot?

I'd like to run in the 2ghz area but I'll be water cooling this system with something from koolance most likely and I'll get as much as I can get for a decent price.

Thanks much!

AMD XP2800- T'bred B at 2.25 Ghz-166FSB. Released Nov'02 in limited quantities and replaced with Barton core

I'm really biased towards the 35w 2400-M

I think if I did it again, I'd do it again :D I also have a 2800 that runs hotter and slower than my 2400 mobile.

yo redshred...

yeah, i've got a shuttle that I currently OC a locked 2500 barton, (fsb only) up to 3200... itd be cool to have the low power proc in there... just to keep things cool... but thanks for the idea, I think I'll get one this weekend.
