Socket 939 vs. AM2 Performance

I have a question for those more learned than I...

I am in the process of puttiing together a file server right now and was checkign out craigslist locally hopign to find some cheap components for it.

I came across someone selling a Socket AM2 x2 4400 CPU/Mobo at a decent price.

I am definitely buying it, but am looking to find out how the stock performance of this AM2 x2 4400 will compare with my Socket 939 x2 4800.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

p.s. I wouldn't be using either of teh dual cores in a file server, I'd have to shuffle some stuff around.

Performance will be pretty much identical at the same speeds.
A faster CPU will be faster.

Thanks for the quick response. I kind of assumed the same, but I have learned not to assume anything.

The seller just emailed me back and is BS'ing about someone else offering $ first.

If I get it, I may just offer it up for trade here. It's probably overkill for my needs. I was looking for something a little lower end (this would allow me to buy lower end components for teh build super cheap vs. buying up to date stuff at retail).
