Posting here as I do not have enough posts for the for sale board.Looking to buy a socket 775 PCI Express 2.0 board.I currently am using a Asus P5N-E SLi but it does have PCI express 2.0.
I can not afford to upgrade to the newest socket or cpu's.Ebay wants more than what these boards originally cost.I upgraded my video card to 3.0 but it is useless with my current PCI Express 1.0 board.
Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.Thanks
 
I honestly don't think that you are limited by bus speed. Which CPU are you using? It most likely is the culprit here.
 
What games are you trying to play?? The main problem is not so much as the bus speed.. I was just reading up on it the other day. Anyway to sum the article up they compare a 680 and 7970 and iirc there was like a 5% drop in frames on the 680, less than that on the 7970.. Or maybe 10% and 5. So.. I wouldn't go on a big hunt for a 2.0 just for the sake of a bigger bus because your problem is most likely your cpu not feeding the gpu enough

Everquest 2 on WIN 8 64 bit. Runs Flawlessly on Win 7 64 bit.
Also get some pixilation when watching video on Win 8.No Pixilation on Win 7
 
I dunno about that.. Seems like it could be a driver issue.

Everquest on the hand, I would think that it would be a game that liked a lot of cpu power. Do you run any type of monitoring programs to see your cpu/gpu load??

For example. I've got a 775 system with a x3210 @ 3.2~3.4 and it only pushes a 660 at ~75% load in HM:A. That benchs around 30fps on ultra 2x MSAA at 1080p. Take the same card and put in my 3570k @ 4.4 and it cranks out 45-50fps same settings
