socket 754 heatsink

I don't know what the best is, but the Swiftech MCX6400-V is an excellent choice. You can get a Panaflo high speed to slap on it and you won't hardly notice the noise. I'm using Swiftech MCX-462 with high speed Panaflo on it right know. Brother is using same fan on MCX6400-V on a 3000+ Socket 764. Any of the Thermalright copper heatsinks (SKU-947, SP-97, etc.) would also be excellent choices. Also, High speed Panaflo has RPM sensing so your comp will run without complaining about CPU fan not working. You can mount a 92mm fan on any of these heatsinks, you will have to order the 92mm brackets if you get the Swiftech heatsink though. The Thermalright's should come wiht 80mm, or 92mm wire clips.

Zalman 7000 series,
Alcu or Cu. I'd suggest the Alcu, because it is lighter and there's a small difference in temperatures. Great overclocking, cooling and it's silent. :D
 
I've been looking for a cooler myself and will probably get the Coolermaster Hyper 6. It seems to be the best cooler/heatpipe other than water.

I used the Thermalright XP-90 and Panaflo 92mm M1A fan from Sidewinder Computers (Great Service!). It was an easy install and with AS5, it dropped my load temps from 61C to 52C from the stock HSF.

I would recommend the Thermalright SLK-948U if you are using a DTR or Mobile Socket 754 cpu..

I would recommend Thermalrigh SP-90(after a 2000grit lapping) with a desktop Socket 754 cpu...

The Coolermaster Hyper 6 is also a good choice, but large.. (if it will fit w/o problems I would use this heatsink on the desktop 754 cpu) ;)
