I'm working a build where I'm going sleeve mad. I was about to pick up some sata cables from FrozenCPU and then I realized a have dozens of red sata cables laying around.....

Thoughts? ..... this was a test run.

I'd vinyl dye (Or another option) the cables themselves either black, or a similar shade of green. That way the red won't bleed through.

Personally, SATA cables are around $3 a piece. I'd just splurge... :D

I have black also. My goal was to match the uv green and purple I have going on, so sleeved cable would run me about $25-30 for the 3 I need. Not that it's a lot, but this is free and a perfect match.

i'd put multiple cables in one sleeve if you've got multiple hard drives in your system. especially if you've got a case that allows you to route the cables behind the motherboard tray

I disagree with painting the cable. I think this looks nice with a tad bit of colour bleed.
