The maxwell 2 based 750Ti replacement

The 980/Ti X2


I guess the newer 950 could be considered the 750Ti replacement as it no longer requires an extra power connector, but still no announcement.

And the Maxwell X2 card was supposed to come out late 2015, but haven't heard about it ever since. Then again Pascal is coming real soon so its probably cancelled.
 
How is the GTX950 with no 6 pin not a direct 750Ti replacement?

Sure the 750Ti stuck around for a while, however it had the same base architecture so it was a good buy under $100.
 
As far as I'm aware NVIDIA has halted production on all Maxwell silicon at this point. The Computex launch for Pascal in June is also supposedly when the first Pascal-based products will be in consumers' hands.

Citation needed. There has been no indication that Nvidia is going to replace its entire Maxwell product line (GTX 745 to the Titan X) in one shot.

I don't believe all Maxwell production will stop, 950 silicon might end up as the new 740 replacement.

Right, I'm sure Nvidia will have a sub $200 GPU on the roadmap, but until then GM206 is going to have to carry the entry-level. I expect aggressive pricing from AMD with their new Polaris 11.

Of course, we have yet to see if the bus-powered GTX 950 is just another press release part, or if Nvidia can actually ship quantities. First card was announced last month directly in response to that show where AMD was pimping the Polaris 11 versus the GTX 950 :rolleyes:

You still can't buy it anywhere, or find a review.
 
And on the EVGA website where you can buy anything they actually sell, it's still marked "coming soon." I fucking hate paper launches.
