So, i've been getting nothing but stop codes thrown up when I prime95 my rig. This is usally after about 10 mins or so. I decided to slap a small house fan on the side of my open case and prime95. It went 8 hours straight until I finally shut it off. All of the "hardware failure", "memory corruption", "motherboard instability", etc etc all seems to be magically cured by throwing more air at it.

Could this mean that my stop codes/prime95 instability/random crashing is all because of poor cooling???

My temps are as follows:
Idle: CPU 48*C
Mobo 43*C
Ambient ~37*C

Load: CPU 63*C
Mobo 48*C
Ambient ~39*C


This is on my 3.2e 'presshot' oc'd to 3710 mhz with an xp-120 and m1a panaflo. I used arctic silver 5 with the "small grain of rice dab in the center" technique. I'm thinking of upgrading my m1a panaflo to the ultra version which puts out 115cfm. Will the ultra still be safe to plug into the 3-pin connector on the motherboard, or should I get one with a molex tail?? Should I also maybe get a northbride hs w/ fan (nb-1)??
 
prescotts can run up to 70C no problem afaik
gl with your prescott maybe you can oc i as far as i did :cool: :D
