45nm tech. Which so far seems to = better overclocking.

Not to mention that is overclocks higher. I remember trying to get mine stable at 3.5Ghz. :/

yes it does and it has more cache as well. Reaches higher clocks when overclokcing, and supports SSE4 which will help in encoding apps that support SSE4.

Shizdan - as stated it will run cooler & have more OC headroom (guessing 100-300MHz, maybe a little less voltage). I don't think you'd see a huge jump tho
think of it w/cars --- you had an old beater rust-mobile, & replaced it with a new model, big jump & worthwhile. Wait 2-3 years, the new model is the same but w/a new paint color, 10% more power, and maybe it has Bluetooth
