I don't think I've ever seen so many servers down at Stanford at the same time. Wondered why my ATI client wasn't sending or receiving work. Looks like a host of GPU, SMP, and PS3 servers are down currently.



 
Yeah, my linux smp is red, and two of my gpu's are yellow. They seem very broken. Only 53k points for the [H] last update.

 
You need a better title to this thead, it needs to be more world breaking ......... :p

All my SMP and nVidia clients cannot get new work.
Stanford has had a major outage.

"The networking in our server room (in the Stanford Computer Science building in fact) is down. We've updated Stanford IT of the situation and they're on it. Unfortunately, this is something my team has no control over (like electricity and natural disasters).

I'll update in my blog since there are lot of threads here."

Perfect time to update those clients, clean components and all that normal maintenance we put off to make sure we turn in just one more WU.

 
And the worst thing is that I lost internet/phone/cable at my condo at 11:30 this morning and I just got reconnect back at 4:15 PM. I was pissed off to be unable to send/receive but hearing this outage at Stanford, it wouldn't have mattered at all anyway :p

 
Looks like everything is sending again. Just had a GPU transmit 2 wu's without any issues.

Man..., I must not be holdin' my mouth right or something :eek: I can't get a WU to upload to my WinSMP boxen, the GPU2 client uploads and downloads just fine (poop, poop and more poop) :(

I'm most certainly in need of some quality information about how to fix this freakin' problem. :rolleyes:

Same here. I'd have been REALLY surprised if a weekend passed without server issues. /sigh/


 
Most of my little cpu garden is down until Sunday 10pm because of major electrical
work at the office - 16 hour shutdown. :( Imagine a long shutdown at Stanford...:eek:

If you have a WU, fold it.

 
The good thing is that we have been able to get new work units so I have most of my clients with a back log of wu's to send and they are still chug'n

 
Does anyone have their monitoring programs still reporting unsent results? Two of my clients have had this condition since Standford's servers went down and did not appear to upload their results yet. FahSpy is displaying the 'ready to send' message on these clients. What should I do? Delete? :confused:

 
I'm away from home on business. I believe (as best as I can tell) all of mine have been sent. Due to the issues we've had of late, I've realized, I need to get some sort of off-site access to my boxen. I'll have to research it the week of the 1st when I get to work from home again.

Look in your work folder for any stray results files.
Also I would check your log file for EUE's.
It could be that you've been hit by an EUE and you have an ophan results file in the work folder.
If you have, then use Qfix.exe to rebuild the Queue.dat file so you can send it in.

There is also a slight glitch with some GPU uploads.
See This Thread over at the support forums for a possible fix.
