So I'm thinking about changing my setup...

For a few reasons really.. First we'll start off at all though it works amazingly.. It looks like complete crap.. I don't like having my pump sideways above my power supply and I'm sick of trying to reroute tubing to make it work better. Been there tried that. The current setup is as follows.

1/2"ID
white water block
eheim 1260 or whatever the larger one is...
dual heater core from dangerden
5.25" bayres from dangerden

After running prime 95 for 4 hours and then setting 3dmark05 on while running prime I ended up with a max temp of 54C... I think this setup works well but I don't see the wonder of me having to work for about a 1/2 hour to put a new stick of ram in. The radiator is placed in the front of the case and the tubing blocks the ram slots for the most point. Soo I'm not sure what I want to do. I know I could get pretty good money for my setup and I kinda want smaller tubing and thinking about going with either swiftech or aquacomputer. Not sure right now. What do you guys think?

I think you should keep the parts you have for now, invest 5-10$ in some 7/16 or 3/8" tubing and use that with your existing parts. That tubing is much more pliable and should allow you to leave enough slack to make installing ram much easier.

As for the pump, you could get a smaller DC pump like the Laing DDC, D5, or the CSP MAG.

Edit : Do you have pictures so we know what we are dealing with when we try to recommend something to you?

Not currently... Camera just crapped out on me.. The problem I have with running smaller tubing is the fittings on everything that i have..

7/16" tubing fits quite easily over 1/2" barbs, in fact they are always used with 1/2" barbs as they would leak on 3/8" barbs and if they make 7/16" barbs I haven't seen them.

3/8" tubing will also fit over 1/2" barbs, though you will probably have to heat the end of the tubing in some hot water to make it more pliable before you force it over the barbs.

So the fittings really aren't a problem, in fact stretching smaller tubing over larger fittings makes the seal more secure, so it would be a good thing.

Fair enough... thanks for the info... I have a box of 200 ft. of tygon at work so I'm just gonna use that... gotta see what size it is though... its smaller than 1/2 though so whatever...
