So I'm never ordering from NewEgg again...

I've always had good experiences with NewEgg, but this is just silly. I've been waiting 10/11 days for a package to come, and it hasn't yet arrived. I tried being patient, but considering I could have gotten in from a different website for cheaper and get it in 1-2 days, it's just not worth it to order from there.

NewEgg(.ca) fails to show you where the item is shipped from. Being that it's .CA, I would have assumed that it would ship from Canada, and I would get it pretty quick. This turned out to be a false assumption. They decide to ship it from LA (XFX, the brand of card I bought, has a shipping point in TO, simply 4 hours from where I am), and then route it through BC. Being as BC is the easiest way to get items across the border (for whatever reason), I was fine with that. We can ignore that the city I live in has the largest commercial international crossing in North America, fine, whatever they want to do.

But even getting any of this information took days. NewEgg/Purolator give the slowest god damn updates ever. I went 5 days before I even saw it hit Seattle (Before then it was literally only telling me it was shipped from LA). After about 3 days, I saw it in Vancouver, BC. That was on the 22nd, it now being the 26th, this is all the message I get checking on my package:

We do not yet have any record of the tracking number you've entered. Please try again later.

This is purely unacceptable. I was under the impression that I would get my package within a week, not for it to be MIA after 11.

Just thought I would rant at you guys. Anyone else have any bad experiences with newegg? (I actually paid an extra $10 to ship from newegg over TigerDirect because I thought they would be good about it)

Well I live in the U.S. and I have ordered from Newegg MANY times and it's always arrived to me within' a weeks time, not including Holidays/Sunday when the mail doesn't run, but even then. 7 days max. On average, I get it 2 - 3 days.

I also know the tracking numbers usually take a few hours to update, shouldn't take days though. I would have given them a call after 24 hours of them saying they don't have a tracking number record.

I tried calling them twice, but as I expected they were closed. (I work midnights, I can't really complain). I did order another thing off newegg about 2 days after I ordered my video card, and I had to pick it up from Purolator, when I was there I asked them if they knew what was going on. (This was when it said it was in Seattle for 3 days) They said they didn't know anything more, they'll just know when it's ready to be picked up/delivered (the woman was actually very nice and helpful). It updated later that night to say it was in BC.

I don't really think anythings wrong, I just think this is taking forever, and I'm not happy about it since I could have ordered from TigerDirect ($25 cheaper between the cost and the shipping) and got it from TO in 1-2 days.

This thread is off-topic for General Hardware so I'm closing it, but it sounds like you need to be mad at Canadian customs, not Newegg. I don't care what company you are, customs crossing can suck and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
