So I install this cieling fan at one of my client's house. Besides being a Federal Geek, I'm also an Electrician and handyman. I manage Apartments on the side of my DOI gig.

Anyway, i'm picking up the junk left over and she says, would you mind throwing that old computer away as well ?

shooooooooooooooot. You bet.


Bring it home... pop it open, slam in a stick of memory that it was missing... and presto.

It is a great day :D

Dropped dad off this morning to have a tumor removed from his bladder ( out patient) and it was not cancerous, he is back at my home already and , if there is no noticable blood tomorrow he can go back to his home to fully recover friday, when mom drives down to get him.

I've had a good day as well. I went to school and took the ASVAB, finished and cut out early. Seems as though the military is setting their standards a little low though. Sample question from the test:

A computer keyboard does what?

A) Imput data
B) Output data
C) Display information
D) Something I don't remember

Freebies are great. An older guy I know "went out of the computer business" as he called it, and gave me a lot of stuff. I have to sort through it to see whats worth keeping around and what works or not. Quick glances showed a K6-2/333 and motherboard, lots of EDO RAM, and a few old video cards from the Trident era.
