But the temps are STILL the same! Its even 1 degree hotter on idle.

What could be the problem? My idle temp is 53 and on high intensive games it stays just beneath 90.
When i installed the cooler i didnt clean my ram, it didnt look dirty so i only cleaned the core
with ActiClean. Could this cause the problem?
Or can i/do i have to adjust my fan speed on the cooler?

I appreciate any help or advice

btw, i tryed to remove the cooler but its stuck! you probably know the story

How much gunk did you put on the core? Have the card run for awhile then turn off your system and then try to remove the fan/heatsink see if it helps. Reapply and try again. Make sure all your screws are nice and tight.

Afaik, it's doesn't lowers the temperatures a lot, it's just a very quiet cooler.
By the way, use ATi Tool to set the fan speed at 100%, default it's 26-27%. Just in case you didn't know that. ;)

hey, i cant find out how to adjust the fan speed, can you be more specific? :)

Open ATi Tool (it's a 3th party tool, look for on it google if you haven't got it), click on "Settings", search for "Fan Control" in the drop-down menu at the top. Finally, select "Fixed Percentage" and use value 100. ;)

oh gosh, look at my temps! there 6 degrees lower now on idle :D

just found out i needed the 0.25 beta version to use fan controll.

I have just one last question. Will the fan speed stay at 100% when i uninstall AtiTool and go back to CCC? Because i prefer using CCC.

thanks for all the support

no you will have to keep ati tool and set it to apply your fan profile on startup.

Once you remove ATiTool, all your settings that you would have made through it are gone. The program is needed to keep them. You are not really changing any hardware, it is the software is giving it a different instruction than CCC

Oh, my bad. Thanks for the correction. :)
ATi Tool is a nice app anyway, you should keep it.
