I had a Dell OEM XP pro copy. Never used and was saving it for my Inspiron Laptop. I had the chasis sticker on a sheet of sticker paper so I could I fix it to the new computer.... As I know my organizational skills are alittle weak, I wrote the key on the disk, just in case. Dont ask why I didnt just put the sheet in the disk case.

So last night I decide to pull off the ME from this lappy and go with XP. I'm sitting on my recliner with the lappy on the arm... I'm watching a race. I reach over on the other arm and go for the disk... I knocked it off the arm and it falls between the cushion and the arm. When I got up, I heard the crunch :eek:
PLease please oh please... just be the case. I was sorta lucky. It was teh case that busted, but what ever broke the case took off the media surface right through the last 3 characters I wrote on the disk. Lost the media and the damn key.... damn. I'm going back to making fast cars and bikes... hehe. I think its cheaper than folding sometimes. between burning otu processors and powersupplies... and now I'm destoying expensive operationg systems on top of buying and trading all the time...

call MS and tell them your story, they usually will help get you up and running.

Race cars cost alot more than folding, I have spent more this season on the hot rod and going to events, than my folding farm and the power to run it for a year cost me.

I think next year I will cut down on the cars and just fold. Boxen are alot cheaper than Hewland gear box pieces. :D
