asus p6t with a bad memory controller that ran my D0 920 at 3.6 ghz. Suddenly it was missing 3 of my 9 gigs and it was acting funny. So I got an evga X58 le. It seemed to have a problem running my proc at 3.6 and was acting very weird (like it just did not like any multiplier other than 20). I updated the bios but no luck. So I took it back and got a P6T since that was my only other alternatve at my local microcenter.

Put it all in and checked ... sure enough all 9 gigs there...booted it up at stock to make sure everything was good then got in the bios to set it all up for 3.6 but figured meh what the heck might as well as give 4.0 a shot.

Well lo and behold - 4 Ghz!! I thought nah, cannot be stable. Well 30 mins later of linpack from occt and still running like a champ! (temps around 67-70 with corsair H50). Just goes to show what a diff the mobo can make (even the same mobo a few months later!!).
