I have been googling every 8 hours or so and nothing since Sept. Running out of time to buy my screens Samsung. =/

This late and NO news AT ALL sounds like they're having production problems. But, then again, who knows?

yea see that's a happy bit of fail right there :)

posted on sept. the 10th

i need some right now kinda news...

What? I was not posting that like here is a article on it, I was posting like is this what you are talking about, because I had not a clue what the heck you were talking about, you didn't give me much info in the first post (just like i said "REFERRING TO")

I am looking into EF and so I wanted to know more about this Samsung this you were talking about

so you FAIL for being a online prick ;)

Doesn't look to me like he was trying to be an "online prick" to me. He's just saying that the last news was in September and it sucks. I gave up on waiting for samsung to release news on no bezel monitors and bought 3 dells.

I'd like to know what displays Sapphire was using in this promotional pic. The bezels are very slim and look like they'd be great for an Eyefinity setup.

...online prick ;)

oh no not at all mate / you've got it twisted

i meant the news was fail - not the bloke who what posted it

there hasnt been a shred of new info since day 1... and the info that's available is a bit knackered

ah well, ive been holding off actually... i think im going to take another [H]ers advice and pick up a trio of dell 2007fp's

3 of those lovelies is 4800x1200 and all can be had for the cheap...

Oh ok... well I just read into it wrongly... no harm... no worries...

...the news is old, they must be having 2nd thoughts and/or production issues

Everything that I find searching for is Sept time news but this Sapphire news (was reading yesterday they have a fix for the DVI problem) , maybe that is a clue to start a new search hunt on... either way I would like thinner bezels but I don't think I could manage the bills it would cost for 3 and if they are Samsung they will be top notch and top dollar

OLEDs and thin bezels would be the ULTIMATE Eyefinity monitor :D

I am ordering 3 x P2310H, seeing them now as low as $210, so a great deal and tons of monitor for $630 :D

Sapphire is simply releasing their own adapters, which I hear are not as discounted as we'd though.

i just ordered 2 2007fp's for $200 total

i already have 1...

so im all set once i get an active adapter / i think ill go with the vga one, same a little more cash

ill post pics and such once i get everything going :)

The 20's have displayport? I've been looking at the dells myself, but not sure if 3x20 is going to be big enough after having a 30" for so long.

The 20's have displayport?

no they dont - but the dp to vga adapter is only $30 or so... and it works with eyefinity...

so for less than the price of 1 wide 24" - im good to go

to me its the best of both words, take 24" widescreens...

in landscape, things are too wide, some have noticed the vertical view isnt immersive enough and no game really works right with the uber aspect ratio

in portrait, you have this 'wall of screen' in front of you, but the horizontal space before bezels show up is really limited

with the 20" screens... its a mixture of the two, taller than a widescreen in landscape mode - wider than a widescreen in portrait mode

and plenty of pixels - 1600x1200 is close to 2 million / that again times 3 and we're talking just shy of 6mp total

still very impressive and easier on the old 5850 to boot...

The DP to DVI will only work if you have a powered DP to DVI and those run $100 ;)

The VGA one is powered - by the DP signal itself apparently. It costs $20.

It doesn't work perfectly, but neither do the DVI converters and it works just as well as those.

ah i am unaware of that one, I went with DP monitors because of the other solutions i have heard do to work "as good"

that's my thing... i dont want to jump in both feet and spend $600+

id rather get a quick easy cheap working solution going and then wait until next summer or whatever when the slim bezel displays start showing up

the 2007fp is a beautiful display and far far cheaper - and all the ones i have coming are the s-ips panel

now im good to go until ... whenever

once the options expand... then ill get froggy :)

Where are you getting 2007fps for a decent price?

I want to know to, everywhere I look, and Dell.com they are $300+ $369 @ Dell

I just wondering I just ordered my 1 of 3 23" widescreens from Dell for $210 :D

We have those 2007fps at work and they are VERY nice monitors... I just want widescreen... much nicer for gaming

my roomie sold me his for $100 - i got one off craigslist for $75 [no stand] and i got one of ebay for $125

the ebay one was new in box sealed [or so the auction says...] - the one on craigslist was beat up bezelwise but the actual display is beautiful / and the one my roomie gave me was flawless...

they are all super in-plane switching :)

*edit* i did a google for [2007fp craigslist] and i found several between $100 and $200 that all look to be in good shape...

Those Samsung LCDs dont have the Display Port. What adapter are you planning on using and will it work nicely with eyefinity?

i thought about those vw / but decided against because they are even slimmer than widescreen when flipped up into portrait [being a 16:9 aspect]

but that resolution is excellent

let us know how that monster stand works though! that thing is a beast :)

I actually did the math on it last night before ordering. These 3 monitors when used in portrait come out to almost a perfect 16:10 resolution. If you stick with a standard 1920x1200 or 1680x1050 it gets closer to 4:3 resolution when used in portrait.

You do understand that doesn't count right  not everyone has a "roomie" willing to dump a $300 for $100 lol

Good deal though, .... for you

They're TNs. They're going to look rather funky in portrait. Oh well, good luck to you.

Also, 16:10 is wider in portrait than 16:9 (with three 16:10 it's even wider than one 16:9 in landscape.) 3x 10:16 = 30:16, or 18.75:10. 3x 9:16 = 27:16, or as you said 16.88:10.

3456x2048. It's one of the oddest resolutions I've seen, particularly how the numbers add up sequentially for the width.
