Some of you may know that a snow storm passed through Arkansas yesterday and gave us about 4 inches, and last night before I went to bed I opened my window because I like my room cold.
I told you that to tell you this...
This morning I woke up to weird noises coming from my window. I looked over and saw pieces of snow flying through my window. Turns out that my mother and uncle though it was funny to throw snowballs at my window, in turn EXPLODED when they hit my window blinds.
The funny part is that I have a $2000+ computer sitting infront of my window, that (at the time) was being showered with cold, wet snow. Last time I checked computers and snow do not mix.
Just as I got up, the final snowball came flying through my window and my computer made a weird noise and shut off. I though to myself "oh shi*t". I looked through my window on my case to see a black spot on the back of my 2 month old PNY 6800GT. I guess some snow was sucked through one of my side intake fans and landed on it.
So now my 6800 is dead, everything else seems to work ok (I am now back on my 9700pro).
