Well we got our first and, second snow already up here near the Grand Canyon. So here are a few shots, to get the rest of you ready for winter.

Northern AZ yes... hell they get floods in phoenix if it rains enough =).

Hey, Joves, what's the fruit in the third picture? look kind of weird... not suggesting anything, just wondering what it is... :rolleyes:

It looks like a macro shot of some typical pine (or some kind of coniferous) berries, probably cedar or something closely related.
 
Thanx everyone. Soul Im 60 miles south of the canyon,North of Williams. The berries are actually Pinon nuts, which as Horse said is correct it is a cedar tree. Yeah we do get a helluva lot of snow in good years. Hope this is one we need the water bad. If it does snow enough I will hit my favorite canyon and, have some great shots. Also do a little gold panning, just for fun.

Sounds nice bud... i know all to well about the needing water aspect of life. San Diego is so dry we could have fire's as bad as last october (for the rest of the county that wasnt burnt). Definately get some snow shots if you get a chance bud, i love that part of the country. By far my favorite is around the lake powel area, such an amazing spectacle to see.
